A very sweet story! I enjoyed the fact that it was from both POV's. It gave the story more depth. A ton of cute, funny and lovely moments.
But there were also moments when I wanted to rip my hair out. Syd was incredibly insecure, and was constantly second-guessing everything that happened. At the same time I felt like Kyler just needed to spit it out already, and not and not act like Syd could read his mind. Very frustrating.
All in all the good moments outweighs the bad, and I really did enjoy this read.

I've really been craving a good romance lately, but I couldn't seem to get into any book I started reading. So even though I have almost 50 books on my shelf that I need to read, I went online and reached for a book by the queen of spectacular, light, cozy, all-around amazing romances herself, Jennifer L. Armentrout.
I waited to read this book second because of the whole Man Whore issue. It really did make me angry. There is one thing I hate, and that is a man whore. I really liked Kyler and Sydney together, but his past was a huge issue for me. The story was good, I just really wished his conquests weren't quite so in my face. I like how they finally faced the love they had for each other instead of him hurting her and him thinking he she was too good for him. The two of them were adorable together.
Full Review on Brianna's Bookish Confessions.
Sydney and Kyler have been best friends since he pushed her down at the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. They are now starting winter break and are graduating college in the spring. It’s no secret that Sydney has had feelings for Kyler. The downfall to this is that Kyler is a man-whore. Kyler has never been in a real relationship and has never stayed with a girl more than a couple nights.
Sydney, Kyler, and some friends are going to spend the winter break at a ski resort. But, as soon as they get there and find out their friends won’t make it, a massive blizzard hits.
“How much snow are they calling for?” “Somewhere between a lot and holy ****.”– page 71
Sydney and Kyler are now stranded at this ski resort and Sydney doesn’t want risk her friendship with Kyler by confessing how she really feels about him. But, can she keep this a secret? Will she tell him?
My Thoughts:
Okay, Jennifer L. Armentrout is the queen of writing a swoon-worthy romance.. Just saying. I previously read Obsidian which is the first book in the Lux series back in October and fell in love with it! I have yet to pick up the other 3 that have been released so far, but after reading this book I’m definitely picking up Onyx next!
I had a feeling I would really like this book and I did! The minute Kyler was introduced I fell head over heals for him. Kyler is without a doubt, a top fictional boyfriend. I COULD NOT put the book down. I devoured the book in one sitting. At times the plot was very predictable, but the overall story was just absolutely fantastic. Jennifer L. Armentrout is definitely one of my all time favorite authors and is becoming an auto-buy author. I’ve only read 2 of her books so far and both I am obsessing over.
Is it just me or does Jennifer L. Armentrout like to make the main female characters book lovers?! Both Obsidian and Frigid have characters whom are book lovers. It’s so awesome!
This is set in both Sydney and Kyler’s point of views. You’d think that with duel perspectives and with a male point of view that it wouldn’t be all that great. But, it was the exact opposite. I usually don’t like multiple perspectives but Jennifer L. Armentrout nailed this 110%!
Chapter 7 was probably the most funniest thing about this book. I don’t want to give away what happened, you’ll just have to read it and figure it out. I was laughing the entire time throughout this chapter.

I've been in a bit of a romance book mood lately so I decided to pick up this Jennifer L. Armentrout book that I had on my kindle. I love Jennifer L. Armentrout, but this book is not my favorite. It was just okay. I liked most of the characters, but the Sydney was a tad bit annoying at times. I love romance books with a strong plot, but the plot took the backseat in this one. The problem didn't really come about till at least halfway through the book, but once it did it made the book a lot more interesting. It was still an enjoyable romance book and I definitely will try some more of Jennifer L. Armentrout's romance books. I give this book 3 out of 5 stars.
I've finished this book within 24 hours, so I'd call it very readable but not that special or interesting. There was very little development and we immediately knew they had the hots for each other so it was just pages and pages of waiting for them to finally realize it. Plus, I would have liked to get to know the characters a bit better individually, outside of the cabin. It is sometimes hard to root for someone you know nothing about :)
But if you are looking for some (hot) romance in the (cold) snow this might be something for you.

I'm all about the friends to more trope, but this one didn't do it for me. I was hoping it would break my slump, too. Darn.
