This story was ok just not a lot going on. Every time I thought it was about to pick up, everything was resolved. A lot of people liked this one, it was just a little cliche'for me.

A very predictable fluffy read...but I was very annoyed with the main male character and how he right away starts calling the female character "babe" and "baby". Very condescending.

This book will show you everything you DON’T want in a partner - overbearing, can’t take no for an answer, misogynistic. I don’t see how anyone can find Levi romantic - he doesn’t listen to anything Fawn says, he is controlling with a capital C and is just overall pretty gross. The narrative is pretty boring and everything feels like a bit of a reach. Would not recommend

This was a really cute book. It was a really fast read. The funniest part is their first meeting. Fawn has this dog that is just not very well behaved, at least not for her. They are out running and she runs, litterally, into Levi with her eyes closed. Just as she gets away from him, or so she thinks she finds out that she is going to have to see him a lot more. This book is a funny quick read. I am really glad that I invested the time in reading this.

This book was problematic a.f.
It was a trite pile of literary stereotypes and read like a high school writing assignment. First off we have the hero Levi who is the broody cop, he is as condescending a hero as AAR has written, and she writes some arrogant men. So Levi really likes dumb women. He’s all about the manic pixie dream girl - you know the one - she walks around in a fog of pixie dust, not knowing how great she is, tripping over her own feet waiting to be rescued by her big strong hero. That is Fawn to a T, a better named character I have yet to read, this wide eyed baby deer of a woman starts off their romance by running with her eyes closed in Central Park. Yes folks, that’s how they meet, we don’t ever know why, but brainless Fawn crashes into Levi on a morning jog/sleep.
Everything that happens afterwards is pretty much a repeat of every other AAR book I’ve ever read. They are neighbours, of course, there is a dog that gets overly attached to the hero or heroine (in this case hero), meddling family, condescending conversations, the heroine gets misty eyed and cries over every little thing the hero says, they fuck, they order take out, they fuck some more, they get married. The end.
So of course to make it even more clichéd we have unnecessary ow drama that happens for about a half second at the 96% mark, a mean girl character of the sister in law who is a bitch for no known reason other than that the author hates women and has to show that Fawn is the only decent human female ever born, and we have the first POCs I have ever seen in an AAR book in the form of a prostitute and a pimp. Nice one... Aurora if you want to diversify your character mix, I advise you not to make the only criminal element be the African American or Latinx persons whilst the white folks in your story are the cop investigating the POC and the teacher who rescues their poor orphaned child. Just yuk. Writers, authors, would be fiction creators, read this book as a cautionary tale on how not to write characters.

I am a huge fan of Aurora Rose Reynolds. I know her alphas and insta-love (the BOOM) stories aren't for everyone, but I typically love them and I don't even read her blurbs anymore. If it has her name on it, I just add it to my TBR. I almost just take it for granted that I will love her books, but I haven't been disappointed yet. Running Into Love was no exception, and I thought it was super cute and I just had a great time reading it!
After having bad luck with men, Fawn Reed has decided that she will avoid men. But when she runs into Levi Fremont, everything changes. Things don't get off on the right foot for them, and next thing they both know Levi is moving into the apartment across from Fawn. As the two run into each other more and start spending time together though, things quickly change for them and their feelings start to become more than attraction.
I absolutely loved these two. They were so adorable, and their story just made me feel good and enjoy what I was reading. I was invested in them right away, with both characters being likable and easy to relate to. They were sweet and caring and fit together well. Levi was alpha and protective, but not in a jerk kind of way. He really cared about Fawn and he had me swooning the whole way through. Fawn was the type of heroine that is great to read about and makes you want to be friends with her in real life. I just loved them both and the chemistry and connection between them was undeniable and special.
Overall, this book was really great and one of my favorites from ARR to date. I think contemporary readers looking for a great all around romance will really enjoy this one. It was sweet and sexy, and a really cute story. Definitely one I recommend, and I can't wait to read more in this series! There were so many characters here that I loved, and I am really excited to get more of them!
