This book is an addition to a series that I truly have started to love. If I hadn't have gotten this one from NetGalley, I'd have pre-ordered it in a heartbeat.
Rock has gone rogue, accused of murdering innocent people. I couldn't believe that the lovely Cajun had done this and thankfully I was right! It is all a big mistake, a covert op gone awry. In order to clear his name, he had to disappear, but the Black Knights won't let him. Vanessa is definitely not ready to let him disappear without a fight and so off to the jungle we go.
I love, love, loved this one. I want a Cajun all of my very own (the French is oh so sexy!) and the action is fast-paced and gripping. I didn't know what was completely going on until near the end and I loved the constant guessing. There was never a point in this book where it was completely hopeless (come on, this is a BK novel) but it surely didn't look good. I loved Rock all the way through and his determination to keep his friends out of his mess made me swoon with delight; these military types are just plain yummy :)
Vanessa was a good combination of fierce and vulnerable and I loved the fact that she allowed herself to be both. She was a true reflection of a strong woman and fit well amongst the others in the series.
The sexual tension in this one was off the charts. It was definitely a step-up from the previous books and it cemented my opinion of this writer as a romantic suspense author in the one to watch category.
I loved it!

This particular entry in the Black Knights Inc. series focuses on Vanessa Cordero and Rock Babineaux. Rock has a “burn and delete” order on his head and Vanessa has gone into the jungles of Costa Rica to find and help the man that she loves. The man who says he could never love her back. The action starts up almost immediately and you can easily picture it as a movie. The chemistry is palpable between the H/h and the love scenes aren’t as plentiful as you’d imagine, which makes you anticipate them more. Rock’s insistence on pushing Vanessa away was pretty predictable, and the resolution of the story was wrapped a bit too neatly, but overall, I’ve enjoyed this series and this book is no exception.
Might be my favorite Black Knight book yet.

Love Rock. Vanessa was perfect for him. The pace was good. Thoroughly enjoyed.
