I simultaneously enjoyed this and want to bleach my eyeballs.
This was by far the silliest and funniest in the series. However, the sex discourse was unnecessary and unrealistic. I don’t understand how Rangetsu is inexperienced when it’s been heavily implied that she was raped/forced into prostitution for years? Additionally, she should have had severe PTSD with Prince Tenyou when they were kissing because of what his brother did to her in book 6. (I’m still frustrated that the sexual assault in book 6 was never addressed by literally any of the characters. Apparently, that was something that happened and now we’re supposed to move on as though it wasn’t a serious issue????)
Honestly, my favorite moments were with Sogetsu because his internal conflict is the most compelling for me. I love protective siblings, so I’m excited to see where that goes.
