Quick Summary: An opposites romance

My Review: His Cinderella’s One-Night Heir by Lynne Graham is a Harlequin Presents romance. It was published in 2019.

About the Book: A grumpy Italian billionaire meets a penniless English woman. They engage in a passionate night of relations, and she finds herself pregnant. They both catch feelings for one another, but for whatever reason, they choose not to communicate their hears. When one partner leaves, the other gives chase.

About the Characters: Even though both characters were, indeed, opposites, they both shared a dysfunctional past with their parents.

Audiobook Critique: It is so rare that I come across HqP audiobooks that I decided to take a chance on this one. I wish I had not. It was brutal. I only finished the book because I don’t like giving DNF (unless it is absolutely necessary). Anywho, this one was a hard listen. Why? Let me tell you. The accent used by the narrator for the MMC fluctuated between Italian, Romanian, and something else. It was so inconsistent. (I kid you not. Once, it had me thinking of Carpathians. (Yes, those!)

My Final Say: This one was trope rich, very predictable, and just ok. I bumped the score through a rounded lens.

DNF

I couldn't get past the unlikable male protagonist who didn't want to let the female protagonist keep her dog with her.

Dua bintang saja lah

A light hearted, fun read with a really great H.
I liked Dante and his easy way with Belle.

He hires her as his pretend girlfriend to stave off the unwanted advances of a past lover and now wife of a business associate. But Belle quickly becomes so much more. Her kindness and openness quickly wins Dante over and he finds that he in unable to resist her.

I loved Belle and Dante and their epilogue was the perfect end to their story. It left me happy and hopeful. And this is why I will always read HPs. I’m a sucker for a good HEA.

Classic Harlequinn/Mills and Boon.
Not much plot, but in engaging enough.
For someone looking for a light easy read with a good old fashioned happy ending.

I loved the honesty in this book. No lies or misunderstanding which made this book refreshingly straight-forward and simple.
