This entire series is a masterpiece. It's plot dense, it's gripping, it's an emotional rollercoaster that I would strap myself in for time and time again because it is that worth it. I laughed, I cried, I cheered for some and held my breath for others. It is easily in my top three series of all time.

If you've ever played the games, and loved them, this series is for you.

This is a prelude to the entire series, exploring different pivotal moments of Geralt of Rivia's life as a Witcher, namely how he came to know key players in the series and how he earned certain monikers. I could not put this book down. I'd say it is necessary somewhat in order to give some context to later moments in the other books but it's an easy and enjoyable read. I'd give this 10 stars if I could.

Thinking about reading a fantasy that has knights, elves, sorcery, monsters, and magical creatures? The Last Wish: Introducing the Witcher is the perfect book for you.
* The stories of Geralt, The Witcher, professional monster hunter, swordsman, and sorcerer will take you on adventures. I couldn't put this book down, (even though it took me a week to finish because of mom life). I also enjoyed the retelling of some fairy tales like Beauty and the Beast and Snow White.* **Warning they do have a sinister side of the retellings.**
