A novella that shouldn't have been. It's well written, and Pitts creates engaging (if somewhat one-note) characters, but the last third of this story seems to set up much more. The book ends so abruptly I was confused for a moment when I hit the "About the Author" page. I enjoyed what I read, but this felt like the first three acts of a five act story.
