Love these two! Such a dark but deep and consuming love. The continuation and strengthening of their love and story was perfect! Love every dark and twisted page this author produces and can’t wait for more of the Blackwell brothers!
Sooooo good ! I’m so glad they got another book I love Gracie & Hunter!
I love reading, I always feel the emotions as I read but very rarely do I physically react. In fact apart from the odd outburst of laughing, I think that's it. But reading this book? I cried, I literally cried. I love Grace and Hunter, how they're not normal and their love itself, is a little off centre but I adore the way that they love every dark aspect of each other. Mental health is always something I feel pretty strongly about and I adore the way this author handles it. Being a mother, with issues is not easy and reading Grace's internal struggle totally made me cry. I adore her so much and I love the family she has found! There is a note from the author at the start that says you don't need to read this to enjoy the other books, I think you simply have to, for the complete story of Grace and Hunter, because this book was just perfection.

"You are the bigger monster in the shadows, baby girl."
Look - I originally rated this a four, but I'm bumping it up after thinking about it half the night & waking up with Grace and Hunter roaming around my brain. It was one of those books that affected me in the darkest hollows of my soul.
K.L.'s writing is nearly flawless. I found little to no issues with it, she kept me engaged through every page so maybe I missed it but... the writing is like poetry for the dark soul, prose on the wings of night - poetic, gothic and haunting.
I don't think I've ever read a novel where the trauma of the MC is carried through, and isn't just "dealt with" because they overcome a challenge, find a partner or have kids. Trauma is never-ending for many, regardless of the length endured, the type or how much work you put in to overcome (and I'm not saying it's impossible). K.L. captured this with truth, honesty and thoughtfulness. There is no magic cure for Grace, there is no magic cure for her trauma. It is there, day in and day out, some days it is quiet, others it is loud.
There was nothing I didn't like about this novel. Nothing. I felt so moved by their story, Hunter and Grace, the darkness, the need for darkness, the need for hurt. It is, beneath the sadistic nature, a story of pure love and exemplifies the need for those struggling to sometimes feel physical pain to know that it is real.
I'm trying to do this with as few spoilers as possible. There is so much I want to discuss, but I think this is a book readers need to explore themselves.
Thank you, K.L. for weaving so many elements of truth into this wonderous fictional piece of art.

A true gothic romance with all the trimmings!
I adored getting to read another story with Hunter and Grace! Getting to see their relationship progress with pregnancy, mental illness, and how they grow, thrive, and accept each other through it all!
K.L. is an amazing storyteller and I become a fan more and more every time I read a new book! I can’t wait for more!

I really enjoyed this second part of Grace & Hunter’s book. I felt like it really rounded out the story & made it complete.
