wooo new setting! i love when this series shows plot advancements + steamy romance. ruby dixon does this thing where the main female character is misunderstood by her tribe, and i always hate everyone except for her and the main dude (this was the case in this book x10) which makes me sad bcs i love everyone in their own books. anyways 4/5? i think?

🌶️ Rating: 3/5

Ok. I’m reading this series a little out of order because I’ve got them all on holds on Libby. So far it hasn’t really mattered but I got into this book without the context of the previous book where Hassen stole Maddie’s sister. So not having that whole history I loved Hassen. He was a sweetheart. Maddie seemed like a surly bitch. She was clearly uncomfortable with her size, but it appears she’s the only one who cares. I really liked the plot with this one. It strayed from the regular alien likes girl and she ends up liking him back.
There was an earthquake. Volcano. Cave collapse.
They are having to deal with some new major issues. I will say the more this series goes on the more I hate Georgie and vektal. I liked their book, but Georgie is always acting like she’s the queen or something. It’s a bit annoying. And vektal not wanting to unexile Hassen even after the big disaster where he saves the day was such a dick move.

This book was interesting. Usually it's the big blue men pursuing the female, but in this book that was turned on it's head.

He quickly caught up however. This series had a major shift in this book, and I'm interested to see what happens to the tribe next.

Nothing Like a Redemption Story

Oh, Hassen, you were our “villain” in the last book! I loved watching him grapple with what he did and realize the Lila wasn't his woman! Maddie rubbed everyone the wrong way! These two were a perfect pair! Then that ending!!! Holy cow I was not expecting that! ❤️
