I’m feeling a little conflicted on this one.

1. I loved the first 90% of this book. I’m a sucker for an age gap and this is the most well written book I think I’ve read with an age gap this large (31 and 18). It had all the vibes I wanted with this trope and it was close to perfection

2. CHECK. TRIGGER. WARNINGS. The last 10% of this book —— whyyyyyy???? While I didn’t find it to be triggering to me, I don’t think I will be able to recommend this book because I do think it would be found highly triggering to a lot of people.

End result - I read a book that I really liked the vast majority of and it’s actually the best representation of a large age gap romance I think I’ve ever read, but it’s also a book that I cannot recommend.

Because of the last 10%, I gave this 4 stars instead of 5.

I will still definitely read book 2, but please please please check TW before reading this series.

¡Wow!

Got bored through, but it was a good book. The ending is very emotional.

The author is cavalier in her handling of traumatic topics. She lacks depth and maturity to broach these subjects.
