Honestly was there any need to make it so fucking stressful and SAD?!
Well, it all worked out so it was all worth it in the end. I really missed the ease of Pip in the earlier books but it was interesting to see how all the events had wore her down and carved out the path she walked down. Jason Bell reveal? Amazing but I was beyond galaxy brained this time around and clocked that pendant. Clocked the headphones as a trophy too so spent pages and pages stressed about the fucking headphones. I also thought the screw was going to come back and haunt her? But I guess not. This one was maybe the most farfetched out of the lot but truly, I don’t care. I loved every stressful second and I’m so glad team pip and ravi are together still.

This made for a great end to the series. It showed Pip’s evolution come full circle and her realizing who she had in her corner. I liked how we saw those who she helped help her in the end without questions. I also thought the slow pacing of Pip’s struggle was conveyed well to really make us feel what she felt in those moments. The pacing of framing max was also great because of it being so fast it created a very tense feeling.

Overall, the fact that Pip got away with it except for the headphones and using that as a twist made the story even better. Ravi stepping in to save her was nice.

I think the realism of the lie and the threat of Hawkins deep down having doubt made for a great ending. And the little inkling of Pip and Ravi reuniting was a little cliffhanger that I enjoyed.
