I'm pretty sure this one was laying the grounds for the story, which is understandable. But there was a ton of confusion and I couldn't quite find my footing with this read. However, with this being a trilogy, you'll have a ton of unanswered questions.
Overall, not my favorite of Rina's, but I'm eager to have my questions answered especially around Winter!
As always, Rina has the best narrators for her books. Desiree Ketchum and Jason Clarke captured the characters very well, to me, and I definitely look forward to more of their narrations.
