The paranormal elements only appear towards the very end, literally at the conclusion.

Kids getting lost in a mummy's tomb; and mummies on display and getting revenge. Hilarious.

I really wanted to read this book, since i love anything about Egypt. Gabe and his sister were interesting characters and I did love the ending. Though, I will admit that the ending left me on a cliffhanger. Won't say what it was, here, but it made me want to get the sequel to this book.

This was actually a pretty hard read, and not in terms of difficulty, it had more to do with the fact that it had absolutely nothing to do with as the title would have lead me to believe a mummy’s curse.
The entire book is just a pair of cousins pranking each other for 80% of the book they get almost kidnapped and sacrificed along with the uncle/dad. A mummy finally comes alive in the last chapter and goes after the kidnapper.
