This story got down to my bones and will forever stay there.

Why did I wait this long to read this?! This has been on my wishlist for awhile now and I can't believe I waited this long. This story, these characters will stay with me forever and I will definitely re-read this again and again. I was reading the sample to the second book Breaking Gravity that's out now and I learned that the female character was sister's with Nor in this book and I said oh no I have to start with this one first. These are totally standalone so you don't have to read this one before going into book 2 but I wanted the full experience. And man I can't believe I waited this long. Cole Cole Cole what an unforgettable Hero that captured my heart. Their love was just one of those loves that made me say yep THIS is why I love to read. This story may not be for everyone because it deals with subject matters that not everyone can read about or understand but I understood. He didn't see her scars he just saw his soul mate. Uff that line in the book right there is one of many beautiful things that come out this man's mouth. I can go on and on about my love for these character's really. I'm now hooked and moving on to the Breaking Gravity. I can't wait to see what the author will come up with for the rest of the series and boy I hope everyone gets their story told. Thank you Autumn Gray for your beautiful words I felt every emotion during this read. Cole and Nor's love is unforgettable and I can't wait for more of this series.

Holy wow! This book, Fall Back Skyward, is just ALL THE THINGS! It's been a while since I picked up a book that affected me the way this one did. This was the ultimate second chance at love. So packed full of emotions. And tears, oh the tears. I felt Nor and Cole so deeply.

This is my first Autumn Grey book, and I don't know why I waited so long to pick up one of her stories. It was heartbreaking, beautiful and will make your heart flutter. And the epilogue? Perfection!

If you love a read that can tear your heart out and then piece it back together again, this is the book for you. Fulfilling and gorgeous.

I think this book has a lot of potential, but I did not enjoy reading it at all. It jumped from scene to scene and seemed to start conversations out of nowhere. The writing was awful and it felt like the story didn't really know where it was headed. I was hoping to have enjoyed this book. I am really disappointed.

description

"Silver lining. Knowing I'll see you soon is my silver lining."

This book is about soul mates who get a second chance at love. If you are meant to be together you will find your way back to each other. This book was a perfect example of that. When I read the blurb I had no idea what to expect. Why would "she" marry his brother??

"I've wanted to kiss you since I saw you glare at me from your front lawn. You've crawled under my skin so deep, I have to kiss you to seal you in. Never leave."

We start with Part One which is in present time. We see what the main character Cole is up to in his life. After reading the letters that said URGENT he goes and reads the letters that were sent to him years ago. I was angry at Cole for not reading those letters before. 9 years is a very long time, and it was obvious Cole was still holding a grudge and anger deep inside him. In all those years he hadn't moved on. He was still living in the past. It did hurt my heart to see him hurting like that. The reunion between Cole, his family and his first and only love Nor was heartbreaking.

"I'm in love with you and all your little things that make up who you are. Your chaotic mind, your insecurities, your big heart. You think you're not perfect but you are perfection to me."

We then get to Part Two where we go back in time and see how Cole and Nor first met and how their relationship developed. Normally I don't like flashbacks but it was done really well in this book and I was curious to know what happened between them. I also loved that it didn't switch between past and present every couple of chapters, and that it was divided in big parts. The past was a very important piece in this book and I don't think I would've enjoyed this book as much if we didn't get to see the history between them. Cole and Nor's reunion was heartbreaking and explosive. There were so many things that needed to be said. So many feelings that were bottled up and ready to explode the moment they met.

"Everyone has scars, whether they're on the surface of our bodies or on the inside, hidden in their souls. We've just gotten good at hiding them."

Another part why I enjoyed this book so much was the secondary characters: Cole's friends Simon, Tate and his brothers Nick and Josh. Also Nor's friend Megs and sisters Elon and Elise. There were a couple of them attracted to each other and I HOPE they will get their own book! I NEED them to have their HEA! I also loved that the book had dual POV, it was essential to know what was going on in Nor and Cole's minds. Plus we get one chapter told from a very special character. ;) Trust me you'll be surprised! I did wish that a couple of more chapters were in present time because I wanted more. The last chapter ended abruptly so I was really happy the epilogue was extra long.

"My little savage Snowflake. Dainty on the outside, but a fighter on the inside."

This is not a typical story. Stories generally cover a certain time period or event. Fall Back Skyward is a lifetime. A lifetime of pain, hurt, scars, cruelty. And love. Truly epic Romeo&Juliet type love.

Be warned... there are many triggers for anyone that has suffered an abusive relationship and/or depression.

This is a story of survival.

2.5 stars. This just wasn’t for me, I guess. The premise interested me but I just found myself getting annoyed and bored while reading it.

If I ever hear someone refer to their dick as a Batman I have a moral obligation to kill their parents.
