I really enjoyed this book! Mara is a great writer, with a fresh voice and a basket full of wit. As a childhood fan of hers, I was very excited to read it. She did not disappoint! Definitely worth checking out.

"If you can affect someone when they're young, you are in their hearts forever."

"People may have to die, but morbidity will live forever. "

So, so relatable.... she speaks to my adult and child soul. Someone I idolized as a child went through and thought so much of what I did as a kid and even now. From the morbidity, looming sense of god, and worrying to the point of nonsense and feeling you'd be beautiful when you get older to much of the peer pressures of growing up and being the good girl. When she says, "If you can affect someone when they're young, you are in their hearts forever."
