This book. Was so cute. I absolutely loved Zhong, even more than I was expecting to. It was incredibly validating to read a fellow ace character. So many of his thoughts were things that felt like they were pulled from my own brain. I loved Ash just as much. They were such a joyful character! I did wish that Dustin were in the book a little more, because I would have thought Zhong would at least have had a few more text conversations with him even though it kept being said that he was busy with Landon now. The biggest reason this can't get a full 5 stars from me is because Ash was misgendered maybe three different times. If felt like the author maybe hadn't started the story with them being they/ them, and maybe the editing skimmed over those parts to quickly and didn't change the he/hims when they should have. It pulled me out of the story every time trying to figure out if "he" was supposed to be Ash or Zhong, but it never made any sense so be Zhong. That was just a little jarring. Overall though, this book was so so cute, and I really enjoyed reading it!

It was a love letter and a checklist, all in one.
It was possibly the most valuable thing that he owned.

This is yet another amazing story in this wonderful series from Reese Morrison. It's full of life and emotion from all of the characters involved and both MC's stole my heart with everything that they go through, individually and together. It is highly recommended that Love Limits is read after Love Lessons (Love Language #3).
This book actually starts at the same time as Love Lessons but we're focused on Zhong and Ash. Both are different in what they are looking for from a partner. Zhong's asexuality has kept him alone apart from his relationship with his best friend Dustin. His recent self discovery of being panromantic means that he's looking for a partner similar to himself, or so he thinks. Ash has recently come out of a poly relationship and is looking for someone who can care for his little side as well as his puppy side. Dustin and Landon/Lena bring the two together as they all join forces for board game nights and a friendship blooms strong and bright between the MC's. Zhong's innate caring nature brings some daddy vibes to Ash but it takes a moment for them to establish what each is looking for.
What unfolds between them is an emotional ride as they find out what they really want but also what they truly want in another, what they would be happy with in regards to kink and daily life as well as fitting in with other relationships. This is especially important when it comes to Zhong's friendship with Dustin. I love how important people are in this story; friends, significant others, supportive community etc. This holds true for the kink community as well as the Deaf community with both MC's a part of the latter but only Ash part of the first, though Zhong goes into full on research mode with every new thing he learns about Ash. The main thing Zhong wants is to make his friends and important person happy and he dives straight in every single time.
I have totally fallen in love with this series and all of the characters involved but Zhong is especially close to my heart. This is, at times, an emotional read and I was gripped throughout the book as the story and characters evolved.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

I'm not very knowledgeable about age play, asexuality, or intersexuality but these looked like reasonable depictions from an outsider's point of view. The long dance of Zong figuring out how to define his relationships was a real pleasure to watch, as is the way he really fits with Ash.

This book was so good! I’ve already downloaded the others in the series because the representation is just awesome and the story was delightful.

The feelings of confusion and learning about your own wants and needs in a relationship while balancing that with your partner’s wants and needs is such a focus of this book and it resonated with me. What does love look and feel like?

Zhong is asexual, and he worries that while he wants a relationship he can’t be all his partner needs. Ash is looking for a Daddy, and they worry their kinks will be more than Zhong will want to handle. I loved both characters and can’t wait to read more about them in the next book.
