Not sure what this has to do with the Mars Rover, or a Rover at all, or a Star, it's really likened to my very own Magnum Opus, WIP 'Death Fiction' that has 100k words already. I just haven't finished all of it but likely will. & Maybe, of all those stories written between the last 10 years, if I can expect another 10 years of commitment to writing, could possibly manage to write a sequel. "Soul Spy: Death Fiction #2" another great reincarnation novel that is rather peculiarly tantamount to this one, that follows Darrell Standing along his many incarnations. The first he is a prisoner of San Quentin, and about to be hung any day now. He begins to astral project from a strait jacket ...
On Astral Project, I remember reading the Carlos Castañeda books. Don Juan instructs Carlos to take the form of an earthworm 🪱, and he's digging in the soil doing what worms do. Think about if you did assume the form of a creepy thing, creeping around in a carapace or chitin armor ... Your thoughts'd be as confused and soporific as an infant, lower than a baby, because a human baby verily has a developed tendency toward expression, especially of the face. Other animals seem to drift purposeless and dreaming. So Don Juan glides above as a Falcon, and descends unto Carlos, and catches the worm by the talon and soars along the air curtain.
There are 4 famous people in history who died at the same age that I know of. Jack London, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jackson Pollock, and J.G. Farrell all met the Lord at 44 years old. So, if you're afraid of Forever 27, here's a new age to look forward to; 44! That's quite an honor to be among the coterie of those great men.
As a Nordic, Ragnar Lodbrog somehow goes way back to Jerusalem and witnesses Pontius Pilate's resolution between Jesus Christ and Barrabas. Or, seeing as Caleb is Miriam's wife.
“But my servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed me fully, I will bring into the land which he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.” – Numbers 14:24
"-this finger is not I. Cut it off. I love. The body is mutilated. I am not mutilated. The spirit that is I, is whole.'

Honestly a strange book. It looks like London knew this would be his last book and decided to throw as many stories as possible. I’d say there are some good critiques on how society handles prisoners(the best part of the book), but everything else falls apart because the stories are not really connected thematically wise. Some were interesting but would have been better as a standalone. Really hated how many times the author said “i am not going to bother you with this” “i do not have time to explain this”. Like i get it’s to make the book more realistic, but the stories deserved a better connection
