What to read after the person who says she loves you the most in the world, cheats on you with her ex? This book.

Just when I thought I could never trust myself to read a romance book again, along came this gem of a story that made me believe not only that I could enjoy reading about love again, but it also made me trust myself to believe in real love again.

I know I'm neither the first nor the last (unfortunately), but I want to share this anecdote, because if it helps anyone, it would make my day.

Not even with therapy sessions did I believe I could do what I loved most in my free time; read romance. Much less watch a movie without ending up devastated. I won't deny that I cried my eyes out when I finished this cute story, but I can say that after several failed attempts I can now share this read with you.
Not only did the story grab me, but I felt like I connected with the characters on another level. Also, the anecdotes they share made me feel better about my own process and inspired me to continue learning more about their adventures.

It is one of those books that bring your soul back to your body. And in my case, they made me sigh. Besides, the chemistry between the characters is explosive and tender at the same time.

Maya is a very focused and persistent girl, who seeks to avoid at all costs anything that diverts her from her path. But there is a lot of temptation ahead of her and she will have to avoid making the same mistake again, or perhaps be surprised at how much fun it can be to hang out with a new guy.

Easton is the field hockey captain of Heston University. The heartthrob who hides behind his flirtatious smile, a big heart. The same one who won't give up until he achieves his goal. A man who knows what he wants and will make you smile with just his presence.

A beautiful romance, a fun and funny story, endearing characters, a sporty romance and a lot of butterflies in your stomach. Iced Out is the best way to start a new romance series. Bravo Veronica and most of all thank you for helping me get back to my safe place.

Physical book:

It has 2 editions, discrete cover and original cover; both gorgeous. This is the first book in the Heston U Hotshots. Warning: adult content.
