 The Darkest Powers ReRead

As I am moving house I found this series and it was my favorite as a kid so I had to reread it. I am so glad I did.

This right here is peak childhood. I love it! Chloe and Derek on the run is the best part, and when he is starting to fall for her but keeps his distance for his brother. Peak tweenage Katja drama. The relationships that foster between all the characters in this book are amazing.

This book, the second in the series, was way better than the first. The first, to me, was only good enough to keep me somewhat intrigued into what happened with the characters and story.

Actually, I thought this book was great.

The plot deepens and so do the characters. Well all except for Tori but I think thats on purpose :D. This is a really enjoyable sequel with just enough history from the last book so you don't get confused but not so much that you wish that the author would get on with it enough.

Two words: EVEN BETTER!!! A lot of my questions were answered in this one, but so many more were raised that I can't help but freak until I get my hands on the last book! I loved that Derek's situation meant that he & Chloe got to spend a lot of time alone together! Now I'm just waiting for his confession... Another awesome job Armstrong! :D

Not quite as good as the first but still a fun read.
