I’m still not sure whether I actually liked this book or not. On the one hand, the wordplay and clever language are fun. Lewis Carroll clearly had a brilliant mind. But on the other hand, the story is so random and bizarre that I often felt a bit lost.
It’s whimsical, imaginative, and definitely unique, but the lack of structure and the constant weirdness made it hard for me to really connect with it. I can see why it’s a classic, but it left me more empty than enchanted.

همونقدر که کتاب، با اینکه داستانش رو میدونستم و بارها کارتونش رو در بچگی دیده بودم، خوب بود و باهاش ارتباط برقرار کردم، از اداپشن تیم برتون بدم اومد.
چیز دیگه‌ای ندارم بگم. دیرم شده؛ باید برم با ملکه سرخ کریکت بازی کنم

لوئیس کارول علاقه خاصی به معنا داشت، اونقدر که داستان‌هایی بی‌معنا برای بچه‌ها نوشت پر از نشانه‌ها و سمبل‌های بزرگسالانه. آلیس در سرزمین عجایب نگاه یه کودک به زندگی بی معنای بزرگسال‌هاست. تقریبا همه شخصیت‌ها به جز الیس بزرگسالن و چنان غرق در کارهای عجیبشونن که وقت ندارن بپرسن اصلا چه معنایی پشت این چیزهاست. سوالی که الیس دائم از خودش میپرسه و جوابی پیدا نمیکنه.
