This book hits the nail on the head in terms of what it is like to dream, and how dreams contain so much wisdom but make no sense at all, and how you think things are maybe kind of weird in a dream but accept them anyway. It made me laugh aloud a couple of times because it is just so perfect.

If you go into this expecting it to be like the Disney tale, you will be disappointed. However, if you go into this with an open mind I feel you will enjoy it to its fullest. I love fairytales, and while this was different from the Alice In Wonderland I'm so used to, it was no exception.

It's silly to say this, but finally reading this as an adult after having watched Jan Svankmejer's 1988 "Alice" I didn't find that the original novel gave me as much childlike whimsy as that film adaptation did. I highly recommend that movie, anyway.

Achei a história interessante mas tanto a introdução como o texto final sobre o autor eu achei desnecessário e que só trazem um clima pesado para a história. Se eu comprei Alice no País das Maravilhas é por que é isso que eu quero ler, não uma biografia completa do autor e o contexto histórico problemático no qual ele estava inserido
