THAT ENDING.

It's so impressive that Klassen delivered such a clever and hilarious book in so few pages with so few words. The artwork is also fantastic--so soft and sweet and emotive.

This simple and humorous story is full of visual clues for emergent readers. The expressions of the various animals portrayed in the Chinese ink illustrations are priceless. As the bear carries on his dialog with one animal after another, children can look at the color of the text to figure out who is speaking. Readers won't see the ending coming (or at least I didn't), which makes it all the more fun.

Прекрасна, иронична, възпитана книжка. Става любима веднага. Трябва да се прочете на всяко дете

It’s OK. Worst of the hat trilogy. But the red hat and the red realization moment are good.
