This was one of those books in which I experienced reading this with a physical copy (the bookishbox version) definitely added to the experience; the whole page setup, gothic decorations and cathedral windows just put me straight into the mood while reading it.
- It added so much for me that I found it difficult to focus on the story when I tried to read it on Kindle when I couldn't bring around my physical copy..

finally a book about vampires that I loved
i absolutely devoured this - loved it !
the writing is so so lyrical and elegant - exactly what i love reading
and it is more character driven than plot driven, so again, right up my alley
the idea of this book looked so interesting and the execution was per-fect
this is also the first time i read about polyamourous relationships and it was very well done
the way the relationship turns into an unhealthy one and he starts showing his narcissist side was also very impressive - it felt like I was also in the grasp of the Lord
i now plan on reading every single book that has st gibson’s name on it
also, i have the fairyloot special edition which is stunning and has additional content that i loved

Such a unique vampire story! From the narration style to the complexities of the relationships covered in such short span of time. Normally, I would be turned off by how sexual things were, but it wasn’t smut, just felt like an accurate portrayal on how sex was a tool to manipulate and confuse as well as connect. Dark and introspective, overall!
