Ok, this book knocked my socks off. These richly layered characters are entwined in complex relationships that smack of everything taboo. This is a Dracula story, but it’s not a story about Dracula. In fact, our crepuscular leading lady pointedly refuses to use his name at all in this spooky love letter from hell. If you like vengeance narratives, sweeping historical gothics, and of course, queer yearning, then this is a must read.

This took me a while to read but I loved it so much. It felt much shorter than it was. I really was happy when Alexi got introduced, I was worried that like he was going to die or something as a catalyst for Constance killing he who won’t be named. The writing was beautiful
This book isn't necessarily bad, but I absolutely did not enjoy it. With the lack of world building and weak characterization mixed with some very uncomfortable infantilization and frankly absurd amount of sex scenes, this story definitely was not for me.
