Meh. Wasn't the best I ever read. The basic plot of the book was good as we're the characters. But it was too "Romancy" for me.

This book wasn't amazing but it was a good distraction. You're lead through an investigation and don't really know who did what until the very end. The characters are okay if a little bland. Some miscommunication between the characters was frustrating for me because the reader knows it is all a miscommunication.
Good beach read I'd say.

I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would. It was definitely suspenseful and a lot of the characters were pretty easy to like. The only thing I have to knock is the romance subplot. It moved very fast - not sure ending the book the author did was all that believable.

Also, while I liked Beth overall, she definitely had her shortcomings. I didn't always understand her reasons for doing the things she did - she had no real personal connection to the missing people. No real reason to dig into things as much as she did - besides proving she wasn't crazy. And she didn't listen to any of her instincts telling her she was in danger. If it wasn't for her being the main character, I would've expected her to be murdered.

And as much as I liked Keith as a character…everything felt very rushed with him. There was a scene towards the beginning where he came running when Beth screamed instantly concerned. But he'd only just met her the day before so it was hard to accept his concern was because he had feelings for her. Also that he was able to recognize the scream as hers.

All in all, it was an enjoyable book. Fast, easy read.
