As much as I enjoyed this book (and hated the cliffhanger ending) I did find myself getting a little confused by all the jumps from one place to another. Overall, however, it was Torchwood with Captain Jack, Captain John and Gwen Cooper so of course, it was great :)

Obviously John and Carole have a handle on these characters.  I previously read "Exodus Code" so I knew I was in good hands.

This is mostly an introduction to the new Torchwood world order,  setting up plot lines and introducing new characters.  So it feels more like a part one rather than a self contained story.

The artwork is good. All of the familiar faces are recognisable and the world is vibrant and action packed.

While I  enjoyed it,  I feel that with the part one element it feels a little unfinished,  so I think I'll need to read volume 2 to hey a better idea of whether I want to keep reading.

I found this at a library book sale. I was actually kind of surprised there were Torchwoood comics (though I probably shouldn't have been.) This was a quick, fun read. The illustrations were very good. The ones of Jack in particular were great. He was instantly recognizable as Captain Jack Harkness. (I'm sure that his iconic coat helped.) Jack and Gwen have such a...strange relationship, but I love seeing them interact. The story was good. Very Torchwood. I like Torchwood at lot, particularly season three. Anyway, the Doctor Who references throughout were great!! And they happened to be referencing one of my favorite Doctor Who episodes. I think Torchwood fans would like this. I had a good time reading it.

So cool to see Captain Jack again.even better that the man himself wrote it. One bit has me curious how it will play out, as it seemed out of place. Looking forward to read the whole series.

I enjoyed this and I love that Torchwood is back in comic form by the man who plays Captain Jack Harkness himself.
But it was all over the place at times and it makes me think of how Station Zero will play out but all the same, I enjoyed the storylines.

it’s enjoyable but really all over the place. Quite disjointed and hard to follow but i wouldn’t say that stopped me enjoying it. Was seemingly as fast paced as any episode of torchwood would be.

Unfortunately I haven't read the Torchwood novel Exodus Code, which I think this is a loose sequel to; lots of fun stuff happens, including Captain John Hart (as portrayed by James "Spike" Marsters) taking over the original Victorian-era Torchwood estate, and some gorgeous art with some nice nods to the show (and one or two nods to Doctor Who). But it's only the first part of an ongoing narrative, and who knows when I'll get another chance to visit Forbidden Planet...
