I preferred Emma, but it was a relatively quick read and I enjoyed it.

My favourite thing about this book is The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. Not to say that the book isn't good in itself, but the fact that it has given me TLBD?? That's what it makes me love it the most. Sadly, I don't think Jane Austen's writing style really agrees with me. It was a bit hard for me to get the hang of it, although the story is genuinely engaging and most characters are delightful. I just wasn't a fan of the omniscient narrator. I don't usually appreciate that, no matter what, but here it was even more jarring,  out of nowhere, learning what Mr. Darcy or Mrs. Gardiner were thinking (specially because, coming from the adaptations, I'm used to only being inside Elizabeth's head). The ending was also a bit meh. I liked learning what happened to all of the sisters, this is something I wish more adaptations kept, but the actual ending was so abrupt that I was sure my copy was missing a page. All in all, a great book, but I'm glad for its adaptations, especially TLBD. It really enriched the story and all the characters and it's just a shame that it doesn't have Kitty, because I would've loved seeing its take on her as well.

I have never read any Jane Austen books and I'm not an abid romance genre reader either, but I found this book quite enjoyable to read from start to finish.
