A solid sequel.

If you enjoyed Mistborn, you’ll have a grand time with this one. The only issue I had with this one is I felt disconnected to some of the original group, probably because of the choices made by certain characters had me scratching my head in confusion

LISTEN IVE BEEN HOLDING OFF ON MY REVIEW
BECAUSE I HAD TO THINK. All I have come up with is
I honestly just cannot fathom the ending of this book.
The epilogue had me on the edge of my seat. The build up of the whole book. Like I still cannot understand what l am feeling. Brandon Sanderson has mad me feel emotions I did not even know possible. On top of writing one of the best plots and characters I have ever read.
All I can say is read it and you will not see a single thing coming.

Great follow up to the first book. This one dives more into the politics of the world which is needed to understand the beliefs of each character more. There is still a lot of action to keep you entertained as well. I like how Sanderson sticks with a small amount of main characters to focus on how the world is falling apart around them so you get really connected to them to the point that you feel like you’re one of their friends. Great read!

Well of Ascension is a slow-burn action fantasy that masterfully builds tension before delivering explosive moments. Sanderson weaves intricate political intrigue with shifting alliances, making every decision feel high-stakes. The pacing may test patience, but the payoff is worth it—filled with fantastic plot twists you won’t see coming. A gripping sequel that deepens the world and its characters.
