This book was so tough but so poignant at he same time. The ending was beautifully written.
5 Lovely Stars...
This last book was by far the best one in the trilogy... I'd like to summarise them all here but I'll try not to give any spoilers away :)
After reading book one (At Any Price) I grew to really like the characters in this series, it was nice, quirky and nerdy, but it leads you into a false sense of security... because Wham! when you're plunged into the second book (At Any Turn) it's like a totally different story from the one you started out with... It was dark and depressing, and Adam's side of the story left us all confused and wondering WTH was going on (which is depicted nicely to Mia in the third instalment) but I stuck with it because I wanted to see how Mia and Adam's story panned out...
At Any Moment was a very touching finale to the series... on the whole, these books take you through the journey of a couple who fall in love and come into tragedy early on in their relationship... we watch their struggles from each of their points of view and most of the time it's really frustrating, but the way the story ends is beautifully done... we see them heal as individuals and then come together and reunite as a couple once more... their HEA is one that will stay with me, and it's one to measure against in books to come...
If you read Brenna's comments on Goodreads there's a link to sign up for emails... when you do, you get a few extra scenes from Adam's POV from the first book which I really enjoyed, and a brief, but nice, 5 year epilogue that is downloadable in PDF format...
I'm so pleased I stuck with these books and can't wait to read more from this author! :)

Adam finds out the secret Mia was keeping and all he wants to do is help her, and he blames himself a lot.
Mia finally realises that Adam’s house is the best place that she can be he’s the one that can be more flexible with his work and help her. For some reason though he won’t let them get intimate, she won’t let him see what the surgery did to her they can’t get past things.
Finally, Adam says they need a break, they need time to think, away from each other.
Mia doesn’t think it will work but it also gives her time to think about things and what she wants. Although Mia knows what she wants she worried that with so long apart Adam won’t want the same thing. Adam knows they have a lot of work but he knows he loves Mia but isn’t always the best at communicating, so he does it the only way he knows how and hands Mia a USB, will she understand what he wants and will she give the right answer.
I am thoroughly enjoying this series. This particular book wraps up the Mia & Adam story (or does it?) and even gives a glimpse into their lives 5 years later... which is weird because then the next book spins off with side characters in present time and I know that in a future book we will read about Mia & Adam's wedding, which takes place before the stuff happening 5 years from now... so the timing is off and feels like the author thought they were done then decided to go back and add more. I don't really care either way because I am LOVING the characters and stories.
Turns out this series is about a lot more than someone auctioning off their virginity and playing video games. Mia is diagnosed with a certain type of aggressive breast cancer which adds a whole 'nother layer to the story. Toss in a surprise pregnancy which threatens her life because she cannot go through with chemo treatments if she doesn't terminate the pregnancy and we have a real dilemma, but even before all that happens, we see her decline in health and her distancing herself from Adam. Like I said, way more than it seemed from the first book!
For the record, the series is good enough I am actually BUYING each book as I go because our library does not have them (I'm a librarian) and I want to read them badly enough I am not even going to go through the process of requesting the library purchase them and wait to see if they do. Nope! These babies are mine right now!
I'm still loving the gamer girl aspect and it is really making me miss Warcraft. So much so that I re-subbed. Now if only my stupid country satellite internet would let me play without latency issues... UGH.

This was a great series. Geek chic heroes/heroines with love and life laid before them. There was a maturing in this book. These two had to fall apart to come together. Heart strings were pulled, funny bones utilized. Overall this book was worth the read.
Review the same for all three in series. Note. The first could be read as a stand alone. The last two need to be read together.
Too long! I hate when an author relies on lack of communication to move plot. It pisses me off and doesn't make things more interesting. I liked the surmise of this book. It could have been really cute and sweet. But it fell flat for me due to length and poor choices by characters.

This was such a great read, and I loved the journey that they both went on, and that we got both perspectives! Such a great story!

Oh, such a great ending to Mia and Adam's story, but not the end of the series! Loved how things were dealt with, and yeah, just a great ending, loved this book a lot!

4.5 stars.
What a roller coaster story for Adam and Emelia. From book 2 I knew this was going to be a toughie story and it was.....full of grief, hurt, anger, fear. Mia's journey through cancer is an absorbing experience. She is both weak and vulnerable but also impassively brave. Adam is distant. This was such a satisfying conclusion to their story, but don't forget to breathe!
