I loved reading this book, catching up with the characters from JW's Good in Bed. If you enjoyed Good in Bed, you'll enjoy this book, too.

Was Good in Bed this whiny and full of low self-esteem? I remember really enjoying that book but this book I wasn't ten pages in before I was tired of hearing Cannie whine about her thighs and Joy about her hearing aids. Then the end, ugh, unnecessary! I am not reading another Jennifer Weiner book for awhile, maybe reading two back to back is too much for anyone to handle

Goddammit this book is a sucker punch. I wanted to call her and ask why why why why why!!? But as always she does a wonderful job of laying out all the ways life and humans and relationships are messy and complicated and rarely turn out how you want

I liked the sequel to Good in Bed, but didn't think it was as good. It was a nice continuation.

I loved this, and stayed up until 2am to finish it. Weiner is commonly tagged as 'chicklit', but she writes well. In this one, there's no romance. There is love, and loss, and struggling with mortality. And she's often very, very funny.

Fairly decent book! Not as good as Good in Bed but enjoyable for any Jennifer Weiner fans!

I cried pretty hard towards the end, but I still loved this story! No whitewashing! Only true characters, who acted like actual people do in the real world.

...I did NOT see [spoiler] coming and while it made (sort of) sense in hindsight, I felt so emotionally blindsided by it that, and how it completely changes the tone of the book (and "fixes" some of the problems between Cannie and her teenage daughter) that I just couldn't say I enjoyed it by the end.
