I mean... you get what is promised. The first half was quite fun. The rest unbearable cheesy and bad written soft porn. Maybe it’s because I’m a feminist and started too late wir these kind of books but I can’t truly enjoy historical romances the way I should.

I am here because of the dazzling second season of the Netflix show Bridgerton. I wanted to see if the original writing lived up to the smart and satisfying plot of the show. It doesn’t. However, I think the show makes some nice nods to the book without adopting its rather simplistic themes. So really, I’m just here to recommend season 2 of Bridgerton to all who may have hated season 1, as I did.

I was surprised by how different the book was from the Netflix show but on the plus side, it was nice not knowing what was going to happen the whole time.
