This book is ...hard for me. It hits too personally (I'm a Jewish woman with a pelvic floor chronic illness) so that was always an uphill battle.

I'm not going to dig into too much of the specifics because I don't want to, but I wish this author added more the the FMC's character and personality and everything about her because we are more than our illnesses.

Also show don't tell. The whole book felt like it was written as "Avi did this. Avi said this. Ethan did this. Ethan went here." Just really flat.

Dunno. This one was hard for me.

This book was like getting a warm hug...I loved it so much and love seeing Jean Meltzer's writing improve from book to book...Avital and Ethan are #goals.
I especially loved from the parts of this book about medical cannabis for sexual dysfunction...maybe learned a few things or two myself. Rabbi Jason's d'var about sex and Judaism made be bawl....showing that the point of sex in a Jewish relationship is to build bonds, not the main point of the relationship itself...and to create sexual boundaries is OK!
I will read anything that Jean Meltzer writes...she is an inspiration for chronic illness sufferers and Jewish and non-jewish romance readers!

Thank you to NG and the publisher for the free review copy.

I have read Jean's backlist and now her newest release and Jean Meltzer is now an auto-buy author. The way she writes romance, chronic illnesses, and the way she builds her worlds, god, they're just SO good.

I switched to the audiobook copy and I would suggest it as well, it was very well done!

Honestly, my review is to just read it. I loved it, and know others will as well.
