Although bogged down by a distracting and goofy concept, the novel still emotionally and triumphantly crosses the finish line with its phenomenal characters and excellent themes under arm. The message is striking and heart breaking. One of the most relatable book I’ve ever read. It sucks to say goodbye to it, but no one ever says goodbye unless they want to see each other again.

While it didn't rip my heart out entirely, the way I expected it to, I spent the majority of the book riveted. Green does such an incredible job of putting Aza's thoughts on display for us that I couldn't get away. A wonderfully emotional journey.

“Life goes on. And you go on, too, when the current is with you and when it isn’t.” – Aza

This book gives off a familiar feeling in the sense that it was like I was experiencing what Aza was experiencing, with her. It also gave an honest depiction of how mental illness looks like. The book is difficult to take in all at once but also difficult to put down.
