John Green has done it again!! Loved this and absolutely could not put it down, it’s actually a crime I didn’t read this earlier. Loved the characters and the narrative tone of voice. This book has some damn good quotes and I love how mental illness is represented in this book as well as how we clearly see how it strains the relationships between the main character and her loved ones. At the same time John Green does a wonderful job of showing that it is possible to have happy and fulfilling relationships with mental illness and I loved that about the book and how it wove the characters’ stories together so beautifully.

Beautifully written, tragic, raw, real. “I doubt therefore i think therefore i am”

This was so heartbreaking in so many ways. How difficult it often is to communicate with our parents, with our friends. Feeling like a burden. Feeling alone. But also the beauty of feeling seen, feeling loved. Basically the plethora of emotions within the human condition.
Then on top of it, the incredible depiction of OCD and intrusive thoughts. I have not personally experienced these, but Aza’s inner world helped me understand it so much better.
The plot was almost secondary for me, but these characters will stick with me.

i had to take a lot of breaks reading this because some parts regarding the MC’s mental illness were almost too relatable but am i being bold if i say this is his best book?

Jfc
Cried a small.
Green has a supernatural (or maybe natural) to make the most beautiful, life-exploring stories out of tragedy.
Top 10 mental illness narratives (I haven't read thr Bell Jar yet)
Might be my favorite fiction from him, but Alaska is really close.
