This was bleak, bleak. Also, hate the 'get rid of the parents so the protagonist can be a better savior' trope. Not great.

The most beautiful cover (under the dust jacket too!!), the most beautiful characters, and the most beautiful story about love and humanity. I have had this book for far too long to only get around to reading it now.
Had me crying at work, 10/10.
