Wonderful, moving book that is occasionally a little scary and creepy. Definitely for older Elementary School kids.

Beautiful, scary, devastating. An amazing book with amazing world building and heart stopping anguish. I want more of it, am immediately gonna look for fanfiction of it now.

This book surprised me. There were genuine moments where I felt knew what would happen, but be very doubtful because it made it clear that anything was possible and while I knew a happy ending was inevitable, I was completely unsure how it would get there.
Theres a lot of preamble before getting into the meat of the matter and I feel like a lot of time is spent just rambling at the beginning without giving any real propulsion forward.
I went into this book thinking it would be about a new civilization on a new planet where everyone has forgotten by mistake. Instead I got a commentary on communism mentalities and political mistakes while very much still in space and only getting to the first landing moment before ending the story. I was a little disappointed based on my expectations but after the fact, reflecting on its merits without expectation, I enjoyed it. It's a unique story that had amazing mexican elements that were extremely rush and heartfelt.
