4⭐️ The narration in this audiobook was good. I fully enjoyed Jenn Lee’s voice and Lori Prince definitely does a job with inflections and whatnot. It featured some of Hannah’s signature poetic writing prose. This book was short , spicy, and sweet but still got the emotional job done. I didn’t expect to be crying on my way to work but here we are. Overall it was cute and meaningful.
3.75 stars? the setup (idk how i feel about pretending to be gay for career advancement) & power dynamic (evan having pined over clara for years) at the outset were a little questionable but this was very cute. best sapphic sex scenes ive ever read (i am very gay)
3 stars. This was fine. Cute enough but I didn't love it. Clara and Evan were definitely likable characters but I think they jumped from 0 to 100 way too quickly. The sex scenes were hot, sure, but there was no kind of build up but to be fair this is only 150 pages so whatever. It's well written and low angst but the romance left a lot to be desired for me.
