This was absolutely wonderful. Although I didn't like the epilogue much, everything else was perfect.

I thought the best way for me to sum up this incredible story is with the lyrics of Leona Lewis' song

"Footprints In The Sand"

You walked with me
Footprints in the sand
And helped me understand
Where I'm going

You walked with me
When I was all alone
With so much unknown
Along the way

Then I heard you say

I promise you
I'm always there
When your heart is filled with sorrow and despair
I'll carry you
When you need a friend
You'll find my footprints in the sand

I see my life
Flash across the sky
So many times have I been so afraid

And just when I
I thought I'd lost my way
You gave me strength to carry on

Ouch. Poppy and Rune ripped my heart out with how much love they shared. Experiencing that kind of love is rare, never mind finding it at such a young age. The ending couldn’t have been more perfect, finding out they made it back to each other after all those years. To Rune and Poppymin, may your love never die and continue to live on in the clouds ☁️

Such a beautiful book.  the first chapter pulled me in and reminded of it repeated throughout the book. Adorable childhood love story but not corny also not steamy. Just read it.  You won't regret the memories.

I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much while reading a book. I absolutely loved it.

Cry count: 19.

This book reminds me of a fanfiction that I would’ve read in middle school, but in the best way possible. The simple language and the romance is what reminds me of it, but this is such a sweet story. The bad-boy comments made me cringe, but the sweetness of the rest of the book outweighs it.

This is a YA book, but I—a 24 year old woman—enjoyed this thoroughly and cried a good amount.

And the epilogue… oh man. Didn’t quite expect that, though it isn’t unpredictable. Good stuff.
