went back and fourth from 3-4 stars, the ending I didn’t predict.

!I advise you to check the trigger warnings!
I'm too obsessed with this series, I don't want it to end.

Going into this book, I was hoping to get the same type of addictive whiplash that Stay With Me delivered on. Instead I felt that I was starting off at square one...rather than Book 2 of a connected story in a Trilogy. It seemed everything that was laid out in Book 1 (character progress, history, rules, etc.), was ignored? My favorite part of this book was the Epilogue. I felt that it held such great potential for a fun and intriguing book. Everything that came before just didn't feel necessary to me. Especially, when there was a lot of flip flopping and contradictions throughout that didn't make the most sense.
Stay With Me definitely had some "teen drama" going on. But, as I mentioned above, the whiplash was addictive and the writing was beautiful! I was constantly taken off guard with Book 1 and that's what made me continue to turn the pages. Even When I'm Gone had a much more amped up "teen drama" plot going on. Which, is not something I am primarily interested in at my age. I felt that the "villainous" surprises gave off a cartoony vibe and just didn't work for me. I am content with ending my Stay With Me journey at this book.
