Reading about her experiences and growth in the Arts and Music scene in New York was captivating.

The ending made me cry, and her poems and the photos included in the book are beautiful!

What a beautiful, honest, pure and sad book. It went beyond all my expectations, providing me with so much emotional and intellectual nourishment. I feel inspired and my heart aches. I want to read it again. I love Patti Smith.

Patti Smith remembers her life as an artist in New York in the late 60s and early 70s, and her life with Robert Mapplethorpe as they rose to fame.
