I wanted to root for these characters so badly as it would have been fun Desi horny rep but it let me down hard. What kind of horrid dialogue are these characters having? And how is everything so stupidly easy to achieve? Fanfiction is better oh my Gods, fanfiction is so much better. Going to find refuge in ao3 now.

Sienna Snow has become a favorite with just two books. I’ve read Master of Sin, and now this one. I thoroughly enjoyed both. With life, it usually takes me about two to three days to read. But I finished this is just a few hours.
I loved Danika and Nikhil. This author knows how to create roaring chemistry between characters. And there’s a certain care she has for them that’s hard for me to explain in words, but that I love.
I can’t wait to read the rest of this series and the Gods of Vegas.

Suspense, intrigue, romance, this book has it all. My first listen by Sienna Snow and I am hooked! This is the first story in her Street Kings series and features Nikhil and Danika. These two were childhood friends, Nik always looking out for Dani. Dani was pulled away and now years later, they are brought back together. But will their childhood attraction still be there? Does Dani need protecting? And where will it leave them? Let's talk characters. Nik(hil) is such the alpha male. I love that about him, but also love how he melts around his "Rabbit". Dani is incredibly independent, smart and beautiful. I love her secretive career, her ability to stand up for herself but unable to keep away from her "Hil". Passionate, sensual, thrilling and a wonderful start to the series, if you like romantic suspense, this story is for you!
Chance Smoulders is a new to me narrator and all I can say is WOW! He delves into Nik and creates that protectiveness that envelopes the listener! Matched with the talent of Simone Lewis as Dani, he brings it! Lewis comes through with Dani as the strong, confident woman she is. I love her undertone of vulnerability when she is near Nik. These two are perfectly cast and work well together. It was an enjoyable listen.

I felt everything was rushed and therefore there was no time to develop many things or emotions. Even fights between characters were like 1 page long and that's it. It had so much potential, it could easily be a new favorite if it were longer.

I’ve been meaning to read Sienna Snow for ages and when I saw her book in Tempt, I immediately wanted to dive in. Dangerous King was a delicious story about two equals which I loved. They both have secrets, are skilled, and are trying to get what they want. She wants revenge against her uncle who stole everything, and he wants her. They met 15 years ago as teens and now have their second chance, which is one of my favorite tropes. With a subtle suspense plot intertwined with a passionate romance storyline, this story was hard to put down! Narrated by Chance Smolders and Simone Lewis, this story in audio was decadent, intriguing, and rich in plot and steam.
He’s a thief, a criminal. Nik was forged by the streets and with his brothers, they built a new life for themselves. Danika knew him as a child until one day, she disappeared into the wealthy world of her uncle. But her life wasn’t as picturesque as it seemed. When she comes to him for a favor to take her uncle down, she is willing to pay Nik any price for her revenge.
The evolution of these two characters as they navigate the secrets of their shared past was fascinating. Not only is this story steamy, it’s also full of twists and turns and a truly despicable bad guy. I loved the push and pull of slight distrust between Nik and Danika as they got to know each other again. It gave the story a light enemies to lovers vibe without all the drama. The drama is found in the complex family plot and intrigue surrounding past events. Readers don’t get all the answers in this story even though the characters get an HEA and it left me wanting to read even more. I see a binge read of the remaining books happening very soon.

Dangerous King by Sienna Snow is a romantic suspense that I listened to on audio narrated by Chance Smolders and Simone Lewis. This is the first book in the Street Kings series.
This is the first book of Sienna's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Danika and Nik. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait for the next book in the series Vicious Prince to be released on August 19, 2021 so I can get Jayna and Kiran's story.
