This really gave me Hermione/Draco vibes but set in an alternate dragon/vampire universe. If you don’t like academy/trial tropes it isn’t for you. This is my first “bully” read but it seemed fairly mild so I could tolerate it. That and the FMC is a bad ass, doesn’t take their shit type so it’s much easier to tolerate! Medra Pendragon is an excellent FMC to me; loyal and loving to her friends. It’s a breath of fresh air to have a more realistic “weaker” FMC where things don’t always come easily to her but she still doesn’t give up. Not much happens in this book, a lot more lore and plot build up. But I still really enjoyed it and couldn’t seem to put it down!
