This story was sweet & cosy & everything you’d want in a Cinderella tale! We even got the Prince’s perspective, which made me happy, PLUS a realistic reason on why the Prince couldn’t find Ella right away. If you’re a fairytale lover and loved the 2015 live-action Cinderella, you’ll enjoy this tale!

This is a beautiful edition of the classic tale of Cinderella. The cover and illustrations throughout the book really add to the feel of the story, which is very much like the movie. This is a great one for Cinderella fans of all ages.

Just read this book in one sitting and it honestly made me love life again. It is so innocently optimistic and brings just as much whimsy and magic the movie did. I find it to be amazingly profound in its simplicity, with Ella's quiet strength and Kit's unwavering faith, that I will undoubtedly carry many of the philosophies shared in this book with me.

Another thing I thoroughly enjoyed was that the book didn't seem to talk down to its reader, which I kind of didn't expect since it's primarily a children's novel. The humor was appropriately witty and heartwarming, and the ways in which parallelism was used to highlight the impact of Ella's parents' teachings were superb.

Of course, I could be incredibly biased, but aren't we all?

I bought this beautiful copy just after I saw the live action movie. This book has beautiful illustrations by Cory Godbey.

The book was able to recapture the beauty and whimsy of the live action film. I really enjoyed this take on the classic tale. I loved seeing Ella spend time with both her parent.

Ella just had such a positive outlook. She tries to find the good in everyone and the silver lining to every bad situation.

I absolutely adored this, I gave it a B+.

I'm a self-professed Disney fangirl, so I couldn't resist getting a copy of this book! There are a couple of other reasons why I couldn't resist it! First, it was a gorgeous hardcover with illustrations throughout! Second, it's a written version of the new live action adaptation of Cinderella, which I loved!

Now that I've read it, I'm so glad that I bought it. It was a wonderful story and really captured the beautiful feel and message that permeates the film. Even if you're familiar with the story, it's definitely worth reading. I absolutely loved it and will definitely be reading it again! :)

The movie and the story have problems, but I like too many aspects of it to dislike either. Also, the two main characters are adorable.
