A good end to the series.. I loved the inherent tension between Nova and Emmett. It was hot and heavy and raw. I appreciated that they were both older and knew themselves well, which meant for good chemistry together. That being said, I wish we'd known more about Nova besides the facts about her family. I feel like we got all these confessions from Emmett and got to see him interact with his brothers and friends, but Nova was more one-dimensional. Also, DP really leaned on this phrase (or some variation of it) in the book: "we talked. About nothing and everything." ... But then we never got to actually hear what the talked about, this I wasn't overly invested in their emotional connection beyond the physical chemistry. I did like the ending - I like that Nova exploded and that Emmett got to be angry. That was well done. And I'm glad everyone got their happy ending :)

Tin Queen is the sixth and final book in the incredible Tin Gypsy series. To say I was excited to read this book, would be an understatement. With the way Fallen Jester ended, I knew we were in for a wild ride full of drama, passion and twists and turns. Emmett and Nova were red hot together. These two had undeniable chemistry. What started as a revenge plot grew into a swoon worthy, whirlwind romance. Devney Perry absolutely delivered.

I loved Emmett since the beginning of the series and that love only grew with this book. We got to see what a smart, decent, caring guy he was despite his past. He had me both swooning and fanning myself. Good lord, that man was hot. There were moments where I questioned his decisions but he was such a genuine guy, I let it go.

As for Nova, I definitely went into this book with some biases. She was the enemy and going after my people. (Yes, the Tin Gypsies are my people. I love this chosen family.) However, as the story went on and secrets were revealed, I couldn't help but feel for her. She's an interesting, loyal heroine who can stand her ground. By the end, I really respected her.

I think my only disappointment came in the first half of the book. At one point, the story felt stagnant. I kept waiting for something to happen. I mean other than Emmett and Nova hooking up a bazillion times. (For the record, not complaining about that.) I needed Nova to move along with her plan so we could get more action. There was just too much hesitancy. I understand there were feelings involved but I was just like “let’s go already.” Once Nova actually did something, it was a whole different and phenomenal story.

For the most part, I really enjoyed this story. It was a great conclusion to an epic series. I'm so sad it's over but what a journey it took us on. I highly recommend!
