Sweet autobiography of an innocent young lady in 19th century France. Really, 3 distinct autobiographical letters written to different people before she died at a young age, sharing her heart for God, for others, and for the love of servitude.

It was a much shorter story then I was hoping for but it was a very good summary of St. Therese life. If you want a brief summary I would recommend this book. If you want a more detailed story of her life then you should probably look elsewhere.

When people say this book is "great," they are not referring to its grandeur nor its literary worth. Instead, this simple and honest book is great because it is "good." Reading it brings us close to a soul so pure, we in this modern age can hardly believe that such a soul existed and not too long ago. Truly unforgettable, and worth rereading again and again.

I never heard of St. Therese before this until I was looking for any advice or suggestions on how to deal with toxic people and I found this page: How to deal with that toxic person in your life, according to St. Therese.

The words which she used to describe her pure love were so beautiful and inspirational. Her expressions, thoughts and actions in showing her devotion to God were so encouraging, and through her, we can learn how to have faith like a child and never forget in loving God every day.

This is my absolute favorite book of all time. It caused a quiet revolution in my soul, and I'm forever grateful to God for its influence.
