read this right after i watched the film of the same title which this was inspired by and now iām sobbing at 2 am the way i intended. i love pain

I watched the film.
Teared up.
Cried.
And for the first time in a very long time, when I saw that the movie was based on a short story, I had this primal and unavoidable urge to read it and I did. It felt good to read only words after so long. Aja Gabel created a scary dystopic world based on memory loss, and at the same time gave us an exceptional love story which will be hard to forget.
