Well it is nice to have a break from fantasy and thrillers. It was a good read and very spicy 5
With a spicy romance there’s always going to be criticism and people focusing on the unrealistic parts. However I don’t find that with this series. Whether it’s because it’s sex and BDSM mixed with a sex club or because of the descriptive language I still find this really realistic which makes the book that much better.
Everything about this book was perfect. From the “family dynamic” to the simple desire and attraction they have for each other. The conversations surrounding mental health were well established without distracting from the plot.
This book has made me realise I love books surrounding taboo relationships that shouldn’t happen but they can’t stay away as well as relationships where one person hasn’t been intimate in a certain way for so many years prior and then unexpectedly come across someone who changes their entire outlook on romance and love.

This is a captivating read that pulls you in from the very first page. The chemistry between the characters is undeniable, and the plot keeps you guessing. Cate's writing style is both engaging and evocative, making it easy to get lost in the story. The characters are well-developed, each with their own unique quirks and vulnerabilities, making them relatable and real. The intimate scenes are tastefully written, adding depth to the relationship without being gratuitous.
DNF after 75%. I just stopped caring. Every other sentence was "but he/she's my step brother/sister". It's one of my least favourite tropes to begin with and I have other books I'd rather read
