Loved it! Great tension throughout. Decent, well-rounded cast of characters. (They're teenagers, so do not expect adult behavior all the time.) The plot was interesting, and it didn't drag. The mystery of the maze was neat too, even if it didn't solve how I expected it to.

The Maze Runner is just as good as I remember. (Originally read in 2009 on release.)

I’ve seen the movies first, and liked them and knew of the book. I wish I read the book first to avoid spoilers. This book was sooo good  I read it really quickly once I got into it. The perfect dystopian ya book and a great start to the series. It looks like this book got me out of a reading slump 👍🏻 (written when I finished it; the middle of the night)

The last 50 pages were wild. The rest of the book was just okay. The movie definitely did not do this story justice. Then again, the characters lack a lot of depth. I now they are supposed to be kids remembering who they are after being brainwashed and manipulated but lots of them have like no personality… All in all not a bad book, I think the next one will be more interesting. The whole plot twist with the creators at the end is really eerie and I’m excited to see what happens next.

Wow. Ok. So. This book. I have never read anything like this before. Ever. It was dystopian at its richest, in a world that was, not realistic, but something you could see making sense in a twisted way. You could see Dashner had put some thought into the book and the characters.
 
Thomas was an interesting mc. I read this book a while ago, but I can still remember his loyalty and his  protectiveness of his friends. I also remember how he risked himself for a friend that was thought beyond saving. I read this book a good 4-5 months ago, but I still remember admiring his courage and bravery. He could be a bit strong willed at times, a little impulsive, sometimes letting his emotions take the better of him, but he always done everything with a good intention.

So what happened? Thomas "awakes" in the elevator to complete darkness and absolutely no memory. From then on, he arrives at the Glade, the home, or in other words, prison, to the 20 odd Gladers, the boys who live there. The whole story is basically about Thomas and his new friends trying to get out the Glade through the huge seemingly never ending maze that surrounds them.

It is a good, nail biting read. It is not one of my favourites, but I did really like it.

This book was so deliciously addictive that the movie was horrible in comparison, I read this in a class and I had multiple classmates that finished the book 1 month before we had to because of the tension.

i don't care what anyone says this was one of the best y/a novels to come out of the y/a boom second only to the hunger games like the way they reveal the mystery is SO good
