This is the second Olivie Blake book I’ve read and they both just leave me feeling like - meh. It was fine. I did appreciate that this one didn’t go where I expected. But I think others’ criticisms of underdeveloped characters is fair. And I HATED the narrator for Call. So, so difficult to understand and to literally hear him. I would slow the speed down to 1x (from 1.75x), crank up the volume, and STILL miss things he said. Frustrating.

Really loved this- I love a character driven novel, and at this point the author’s habit of cramming a lot of action into the last 50 pages wasn’t tiring yet lol. The ending had me :o

Nothing happens for a very long time. There is so much exposition bc of needing to see the same event through every character's perspective, so it takes many chapters to get to the next thing. I wanted to like it so badly! I'll try again in the future when I'm more in the mood maybe?

Ich habe wirklich mehr von dem Buch erwartet. Bei all den 500+ Seiten waren es insgesamt vielleicht 50, die ich wirklich gerne gelesen habe. Es war langweilig und die Story hat für mich auch die meiste Zeit nicht wirklich Sinn ergeben. 
Ich musste mich teilweise wirklich zwingen, das Buch weiter zu lesen.
