I'm a big fan of BA and watched Priya make her Saag Feta before this book came out and figured I would probably love it. Really enjoyed reading it and am looking forward to all the cooking I'll get out of it.

A very good gateway to Indian cooking. I liked the flexibility of the recipes and graphics explaining the spices.

The aloo gobhi and lauch sabzi alone warrant a 5 star rating!

In general, this is a fairly approachable cookbook. She explains the spices, how to substitute and where to get them, and while there can be a lot of them, it doesn't feel overwhelming. Reasons for deducting stars are personal - nearly every savory recipe has a chili in it, so the spicy heat averse won't enjoy this cookbook. Otherwise pretty and colorful!
